hi i'm robbie, an ml engineer based in edinburgh with an msc in ai.

previously, i've built deep learning-based anomaly detection systems and etl pipelines in production. more recently, i've experimented with building and training llms from scratch.

right now, i'm focused on recommendation systems, working with two-tower architectures. i'm also learning state-of-the-art improvements to the transformer architecture and efficient llm inference techniques. beyond text, i'm diving deeper into computer vision with vision-language models for multimodal learning.
